Rocking The World!One of the first Mandarin songs that I’ve started to listen to in recent memory….and probably the only one I know which has rap in it! As I am currently taking up lessons in the Mandarin language, I am using this song as part of the learning effort too.
By now everyone would know this famous song by the British rock group, Queen. Recorded in 1975, it was also used as the title for the biopic of Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the band. Now currently playing in theatres near you!
England lost to Croatia 1 – 2 after 120 minutes of game time (includes extra time). England’s defeat was disappointing but not totally unexpected, and I guess I will have to deal with it for the next four years or so. Hence, to cheer me up, I propose that this song become the new “anthem” for English fans.
Pretty much the (un)official anthem for the Three Lions squad (England, obviously). I had never expected them to go this far, and tomorrow’s semi-final match against Croatia will certainly be a history in the making. I think it is about time that Football Comes Home to where it belongs….England!
You cannot help but feel sorry for the superhero Hawkeye of The Avengers fame, after listening to this!
